hey greyhound. you rmost recent letter was unacceptable. in january i was attacked abused bullied and threatened by your employee in your chicago station. i have written 6 or more times. i have yet to receive any substantive response from greyhound. only evasive nonresponsive form letters. since you are unwilling to address this situation internally, i am now more likely to involve outside parties.

for example the better business bureau, chicago civil rights commission, department of transportation, whatever it takes. i am not going to go away quietly.

i deserve and expect a response.

at the moment i am on a bus, but it is not a greyhound bus. on this particular trip i have been taking amtrak, megabus and arrow lines, anything to avoid greyhound. i spent thousands of dollars with your company last year. this year less than $100, because you are not responding to my letters.  for every person who writes letters, 100 just go away.

in my most recent visit to the scene of the crime, i noticed a notice concerning your company’s responsibilities under federal civil rights law. i have so far not been focusing on this aspect of what happened. Preston of course did not explain why he was doing what he did, and i consider it tacky to assume racial motivation for irrational hostile behavior when there might be some other explanation, but it may become necessary to address this aspect in order to invoke federal jurisdiction over our dispute. As a retired civil rights lawyer, i am not someone who begins conversations with promises of litigation or referring matters to authorities. but after 6 letters and 5 months, i am frankly angry at greyhound’s gross negligence in refusing to respond to my concerns.

Today’s letter is not especialy thought out or calculated; I am just tossing it off while riding a bus. At my office I have a file on this incident with other parties to forward copies of the next set of letters. Are you going to continue to blow me off, or are you ever321 going to respond meaningfuly?

the megabus is 17 minutes late and it’s raining. it’s nice to be here in may instead of february this time.

i get to know tiny pockets of towns really well, while knowing almost nothing about the rest of the town.

here in omaha, i know the target on west dodge, because the megabus picks up here and i used to do studies near here, and i still screen for studies near here.

i know the lesbian bar near the bus station downtown, and the all night inconvenience store.

i didnt have time to stop at the starbucks or the asian mart or the no-touching-no-fun strip club.

the bus comes to downtown lincoln at 8:30, and the megabus leaves from the 72rd street target at 10 (usually), so i always worry if the city bus on dodge will come on time, so sometimes i take a cab.

here’s the bus! i’m on the bus now.

oh woof, this computer doesn’t do sound files. this bus driver is a sit-down commedian, i’ve had him before. his sidekick is melvin.
